(Note: This is the page for the Mycopirate Mapping Launch Event. For the citizen science project consisting of regular Saturday walks, see the project page.)

Due to some scheduling conflicts (as well as rainy weather next weekend), we’ve decided to postpone the launch event for now. We’re sorry to anybody who was planning on coming. We’ll still be launching the Mycopirate Mapping citizen science project this spring though, so stay tuned for that!

On Saturday, April 29th, Cytopirate Labs will be hosting the launch event for its current flagship project, Mycopirate Mapping! The citizen science project aims to map the biodiversity of different fungal species across Western Massachusetts using geotagged photo submissions from citizen scientists like you!

Stop by to explore the wonderful world of fungi, with mushroom foraging walks every half hour, live music, yard games, and tables where you can learn how to grow your own mushrooms. There’ll even be a science table for the kids!

If you’d like to help out with the event, you can volunteer by clicking here – Just make sure to mentioned you’d like to help out with Mycopirate Mapping.

We can’t wait to see everybody there!
